About us

Pogue Sports is a retail company based in Vancouver, BC Canada. We have been selling paddling equipment since 2001 and increase our dealer network and sales products annually. We started a manufacturing company to build the Lightning OC 6 and have sent canoes around the world. We make the canoes for the IVF World Sprints as well as top Molokai Winning Teams. We distribute over a hundred outriggers and surfski's every year and run a 10 week race series called the Big Chop in Vancouver.

It was Pogue Sports that started a new Outrigger and Dragon boat Canoe club in Vancouver and developed the first Canadian Adaptive Team in 2004. We now have international race crews and offer some of the strongest programs and coaching in Vancouver.

Pogue Sports decided to venture into the world of Outrigger Canoe Camps and Dragon Boat Coaching Clinics to fill the needs to our customers. Our paddlers are looking for way to improve and learn the skill of paddling Outrigger in Hawaii with the best in Hawaii, increase their dragon boat skills with our Vancouver clinics or our Winter Dragon Boat camp.

We used our network of paddlers, coaches, and boat designers to create an outstanding cast of staff with great equipment. We are working with John Puakea, Jim Foti, Kamanu Composites, Danny Ching, and others.

What is occamps.ca? That is easy, we are company that has great partners and great vision to share the love of paddling. We take paddlers of all skill levels, group them for the best coaching, and take their paddling skills to a new level with help from some of the best paddlers and coaches in Hawaii.
